Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Trip Trip platform (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Trip Trip.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use our Service. By using Trip Trip, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.
3. Rental Agreement
Each equipment rental is governed by these Terms and the Rental Agreement presented at checkout, which includes:
- Equipment care: You are responsible for all rented equipment during the rental period. Any damage beyond normal wear and tear will be charged to you.
- Return condition: Equipment must be returned clean and in the same condition as received.
- Late returns: Returns beyond the agreed end date incur additional daily charges at the standard rental rate.
- Loss or theft: You are liable for the full replacement cost of any equipment that is lost or stolen during your rental period.
4. Payments and Fees
- All prices are displayed in the currency shown at checkout and are inclusive of applicable taxes where required by law.
- Payment is processed securely through Stripe at the time of booking.
- A refundable security deposit may be collected for certain equipment (e.g., Hoyer Lift). Deposits are held for up to 7 days after the rental end date, subject to equipment inspection.
- Trip Trip reserves the right to update pricing at any time. Confirmed bookings are not affected by price changes.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
- More than 48 hours before start: Full refund, no questions asked.
- Within 48 hours of start: No refund, except where required by applicable law.
- No-shows: Bookings not collected within 24 hours of the start date are treated as non-refundable cancellations.
- Trip Trip may cancel a booking at any time for operational reasons. In such cases, a full refund will be issued.
6. Delivery and Collection
Delivery and collection services are offered in selected areas at the rates shown at checkout. You are responsible for ensuring someone is present to receive or return the equipment at the agreed time. Failed delivery or collection attempts due to your unavailability may incur additional charges.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use equipment for any purpose other than personal, non-commercial use unless agreed in writing.
- Sublet, lend, or transfer rented equipment to any third party.
- Modify, disassemble, or attempt to repair equipment.
- Use the platform in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Provide false or misleading information during booking or identity verification.
8. Liability and Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Trip Trip is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from the use or misuse of rented equipment.
- You accept full responsibility for safe and appropriate use of all rented equipment.
- The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- Trip Trip's total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant rental.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Trip Trip, its officers, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the Trip Trip platform, including text, images, logos, and software, is owned by or licensed to Trip Trip. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
11. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Trip Trip is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on our platform. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
